"Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth."
Psalm 96:1
Students are provided space and opportunities to nourish and deepen their faith by taking part in regular campus chapel services, fellowship groups and spiritual retreats. Students are also encouraged to find a local congregation to serve as a church home during their time at Presbyterian College.
Moveable Feast is an ecumenical community comprised of representative leadership for the various campus ministries who covenant to come together regularly to faithfully discover unity amid our diversity. Through study, dialogue, and retreats, this group mutually supports one another in seeking ways to bridge relationships between the many different groups in the community. This ecumenical ministry team will have primary leadership responsibility for creating and implementing monthly worship services.
Wednesday Morning Chapel: The community will gather outdoors at 7:30 a.m. each Wednesday morning in Piephoff Outdoor Chapel for a time of prayer, song, and worship. In the event of inclement weather, we will gather in the Harper Center lobby.
Monthly Worship Service: Each month, the community gathers in Edmunds Hall for a community-wide worship service. Several times a year we will celebrate communion. Students assist the Chaplain in the planning and leading of this joyous time of worship and praise. There are also other seasonal worship opportunities such as a Taize Service; a Service of Healing and Wholeness; and a service Remembering Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr."
** Most services are held in Edmunds Hall during the 11:00 a.m. hour. |
