Greek Life

Greek MembersPresbyterian College embraces Greek-letter organizations as an important part of the campus community and student experience. The institution recognizes that Greek life offers unique opportunities for leadership, scholarship, and social and moral development. Sororities and fraternities share responsibility with the college for cultivating an environment that enriches the campus and the educational experiences. The Greek community is very active in the college community and represented in many student organizations and clubs. Additionally, most all organizations on campus have a philanthropy that they support through fundraisers and projects throughout the year, further emphasizing the Presbyterian College motto, “While we live, we serve”

 

There are 6 North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) organizations:

 

Alpha Sigma Phi (Alpha Psi)

Kappa Alpha Order (Beta Pi)

Pi Kappa Alpha (Mu)

Pi Kappa Phi (Beta)

Sigma Nu (Zeta Theta)

Theta Chi (Beta Psi)

 

There are 3 National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) organizations:

Alpha Delta Pi (Eta Xi)

Sigma Sigma Sigma (Epsilon Pi)

Zeta Tau Alpha (Kappa Beta)

 

Each fall, both the Panhellenic and Inter-fraternity Councils host Formal Recruitment for students interested in joining a fraternity or sorority while in college. Additionally, there are either colonies or interest groups for 3 National Pan-Hellenic Council Organizations: Omega Psi Phi, Phi Beta Sigma, and Zeta Phi Beta.
