In 2007 Presbyterian College along with Furman University and Davidson College created an alliance to support their African American students around leadership and networking. 

This alliance resulted in the 1st annual Legacy Leadership Conference held at Furman University in 2007. In 2008 the 2nd annual conference was held at Davidson.  In 2008, the alliance expanded to include students from Wofford College, Washington & Lee University and Queens University.
