On behalf of the Honor Council and the entire student body of Presbyterian College, I want to personally welcome you to our college community. You will hear many things about PC in the upcoming months, including the Honor Council's role on campus.
As a council, we strive to uphold a community of trust for all students, faculty, and staff. Current students and alumni can attest to the importance of the Honor Code in our way of life. Students feel comfortable leaving their books and materials unattended in the library, and professors have the choice of leaving the room while their students are taking tests. The freedoms and privileges experienced by the PC community are unrivaled by any institution with which I have had contact.
I feel confident that once you step foot on campus, you, too, will understand the uniqueness of PC's atmosphere. Our motto, "While we live, we serve," is not merely a saying, but a way of life.
Have a great summer! I look forward to meeting you all in the fall.
Love, Truth, and Honor,
Zach Williams
2008-2009 Honor Council Chair
