Orientation Arrival Instructions

Memorable Traditions

Berkley Aiken
Class of 2009

"PC Orientation is not like other colleges and universities. It is very unique and an experience all of it's own. I still remember the day I moved in as a Freshman. There were HOSE Leaders everywhere running around in blue t-shirts and helping us take our luggage up to our new dorm rooms. I think I ended up only carrying one box up to my room the entire day. It was great! I met the majority of my class during Orientation because we were really the only ones on campus for those 4 days, which really brought us together. We learned about the traditions of PC, were taught our famous fight song, and just built friendships that would last a lifetime."

"Freshman move-in day is so memorable: You pull up to the dormitory and a mass of "cool kids" come running to you, carrying your television, clothes and other items to your room. You then walk into a dorm room with white walls, two beds and not much else. Within a few hours, this room becomes home. In a very short time, you realize that you belong in this special place. It's a wonderful and memorable feeling. It is shared by every incoming freshman at PC."
