Meal Exchange / Equivalency Program
As an added convenience for our customers, meal plan participants can exchange a meal in Greenville Dining Hall (GDH) for a meal in Springs Food Court. Combo meals or Meal Deal Options will be available for the exchange program and posted daily in Springs Food Court.
Meal equivalence allows students more vareity by giving the option to purchase a meal in Springs Food Court within a set dollar amount as opposed to a meal in Greenville Dining Hall (GDH) for the same meal period. If your total purchase amount is more then the Meal Equivalency amount, you may pay the difference with Kilt Dollars or cash.

Students may choose the option of a Meal Exchange or a Equivalency Meal in any one meal period.

The Meal Exchange / Equivalency is available for the following meal periods:
Moday thru Thursday: Breakfast - 8am to 10:30am
Lunch - 10:30am to 4:00pm
Dinner - 5pm to 10:30pm

Friday: Breakfast - 8am to 10:30am
Lunch - 10:30am to 4:00pm

Sunday: Dinner - 3pm to 10:30pm

Meal Exchange value:
Breakfast $4.75
Lunch & Dinner $6.00

Note - No prepackaged items or bottled beverages shall be allowed as part of the Meal Exchange / Equivalency unless noted. Prepackaged items would include but, are not limited to the following - bottled beverages / energy drinks, candy bars, cereal bars, etc. Smart Market - grab & go items will be available for Meal Exchange / Equivalency unless noted.

Kilt Cash
We have added Kilt Cash (bonus bucks) to our meal plans to allow students the flexibility to dine at the Springs Food Court, or to invite a family member or friend to dine with them at the Greenville Dining Hall. They work just like cash and can be used at any time. Unused Kilt cash will roll over from the fall semester to the spring semester. Unused Kilt Cash at the end of the spring semester will not be refunded or carried over to the next fall semester.

The Cash Card
A 'Cash Card" is a declining balance credit account. You may at any time add monetary amounts in $25.00 increments. Each time you make a purchase using your Cash Card the amount is automatically deducted from your account. Your receipt will show your current purchase amount and the balance remaining on your card. Anyone making a $250.00 deposit to their Cash Card will receive a 5% bonus added to your account for a total of $262.50.

Your Cash Card balance will carry forward from semester to semester. You may add money to your card by coming to the Sodexho Campus Services office in Greenville Dining Hall.

Any lost card must be immediately reported to Public Safety at 864.833.8301. Otherwise, any loss of Cash Card or Meal Plan funds becomes the student's responsibility.

2007 HOSE leader responses to
What does "it" mean to me?

'it' to me is having a place to call home that you feel comfortable, safe, and happy at...to be able to go to GDH by yourself knowing that when you get there you will find someone, a friend, to sit with...'it' is making new friends that you seem to have known all along, and having someone to lean on...
