Washington Semester Program through American University

DEADLINE for Fall 2010 - Aprli 1, 2010

Presbyterian College is a participating institution/member school in the Washington Semester Program through American University in Washington DC.  Students can spend a Fall, Spring or Summer semester gaining experience through internship and course work in the following areas;

  • American National Politics
  • U.S. Foreign Policy
  • American Public Law (Civil Liberties)
  • Justice (Criminal)
  • Transforming Communities (Urban Social Change)
  • Economic Policy
  • Journalism (Print and Broadcast Media)
    • Note: Required for a Minor in Media Studies, Journalism Track
  • American History (includes Travel throughout Mid-Atlantic)
  • Peace and Conflict Resolution (includes Travel to Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia)
  • International Environment and Development (includes travel to Brazil…the Rainforest of Rio)
  • International Law and Organizations (includes Travel to New York City, Brussels, The Hague and Strasbourg)
  • Theatre in Washington and London
  • International Business and Trade (option to include travel to Shanghai, Beijing)
