Job Search Techniques

Getting ready to launch your career? Unsure about where to start? Unsure about what you want to do? We will share with you some tools for career exploration and job searching so that you will have the resources and tools you need to start your job search on the right foot.

Resumes

We will spend time going over the basics of a resume, as well as tips for you to transform a good resume into a great one.  Come learn about this important document and get the tools you need to start a new one or improve an existing one.  Then bring your resume draft for review and for answers to your questions.  We will spend some time learning how to expand on what you have and we will go over some examples of winning resumes.  After that, we will talk about other important professional correspondences such as cover letters and thank you notes.  These documents are as critical to the job search as your resume is.

Interviewing Techniques

Once you have perfected your job search documents, you are certain to get an interview somewhere. We can help you learn a variety interviewing techniques and commonly asked questions.  We will also have some tips on how to dress for the interview, including suggestions for what not to wear.  You will be ready to interview for the job of your dreams!
