Political Science Department
Dr. Zihua Liu is a new member of the Political Science Department, who will teach courses in comparative politics and international relations. His current teaching and research interests include East Asian politics, China in particular, international political economy, and the study of corruption. He earned his Bachelor's degree in English and International Economics at Foreign Affairs College in Beijing and his Ph.D. in Political Science at State University of New York at Buffalo. He previously taught at Niagara University and Western Carolina University before joining Presbyterian College.

Dr. Jonathan Smith
Dr. Donald R. Raber II, associate professor of political science and department chair, teaches courses on American politics, Southern politics, political analysis, political parties, public administration, public policy, Congress, and classical political thought. His dissertation examined the impact of reinventing government on presidential oversight of the bureaucracy. He is a past president of the South Carolina Political Science Association, and he is currently managing editor of its Journal of Political Science.
