Life after PC

PC's Teacher Education Program prepares exceptional teachers, thinkers and leaders. The majority of our graduates are employed in education immediately upon graduation. They teach and coach in rural, urban and suburban areas throughout the nation.

Others teach in other countries. Still others enter graduate school to pursue advanced degrees in areas such as speech and language pathology, reading, or their major field of study. PC graduates also become principals, district office administrators, and school board members.

This preparation, dedication and effectiveness is evidenced in a variety of assessment measures:

  • Program Completers have a 100% pass rate on national licensure exams.

  • Thirty percent of Early Childhood Education majors received the highest designation possible on the PLT over the last three years. This "Exemplary" designation is given to students who score in the top 15% nationally.

  • Employer survey data indicate a high degree of satisfaction in the abilities of PC teacher graduates and programs.

  • Graduate and current student survey data indicate a high degree of satisfaction in PC's teacher education program preparation.
