Speakers

Dr. Mary Brown Bullock will deliver a speech on Sino-US relations from a historical perspective.

Dr. Bullock is a noted expert on Chinese history, a member of the board of trustees for the Asia Foundation and the Council on Foreign Relations, chair of the China Medical Board of New York and a director of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. She is the president emeritus of Agnes Scott College and the distinguished visiting professor of China Studies at Emory University.

Dr. Orville Schell will deliver a speech on Sino-US relations on economic, energy, and environmental issues.

Dr. Schell is Professor Emeritus at UC Berkeley and Director of the Asia Society's newly established Center on US-China Relations in New York City. In this capacity, he leads new programs on the environment, the media, and foreign policy in an effort to promote more constructive dialogue between key Chinese and American leaders. He is currently working on issues relating to the environment, politics, and economic reform in China.

Dr. You Shaozhong will deliver the closing speech.

Dr. You is the Minister Counselor of Education Affairs of the Chinese Embassy in the United States.
