ENDOWMENTS - BUILDING ON A FIRM FOUNDATION
Endowments are permanent funds whose interest provides support for particular needs of the college. These needs are usually for people or for programs.
Scholarship endowments
It is no secret that a college education is expensive. PC provides one of the best, and our hope is that we can help those who need financial assistance with their education.
Scholarships are essential to PC students and to their dreams. One of the most critical types of endowment is that designated for general scholarship support. In addition to general merit and need-based scholarships, there are also scholarships for students with particular interests, such as athletics, music, science, business, and medicine to name a few.
An education that shapes the whole person--the essence of liberal arts--is what distinguishes a PC education from that received elsewhere. That is the kind of education we want our students to have.

Professorship Endowments
Good students should have great teachers, and that is what PC faculty are known for - being the best at what they do. In recent years six PC professors have been named South Carolina Professor of the Year, more than any other school in the state.
By endowing a professorship, you support teachers who love to teach and help their students succeed. You can help us help attract, retain, and support our faculty by establishing endowments in support of faculty.
