Administrative Assistant for Residence Life
Presbyterian College is seeking to fill the position of Administrative Assistant for Residence Life in the Office of Student Life. Successful candidates must be able to carry out day-to-day office procedures in support of the student residence life program director. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing correspondence, managing calendars of events and meetings, ordering supplies, and filing. Must be able to maintain schedules using electronic data base system.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting multiple deadlines, posses excellent customer service skills in dealing with faculty, staff, students and parents, excellent telephone demeanor, and the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external groups and individuals. Strong organization skills, computer proficiency (MS Word, Outlook, Excel), attention to detail, the ability to maintain confidential records, and solid written/verbal skills are required. Candidates must have a high school diploma although a 2-year degree is preferred. In addition, 3-5 years similar work experience, preferably as an administrative assistant is desirable.
