Reporting to the President and serving as a member of the President’s Leadership Team, the Vice President for Enrollment and Public Relations/Marketing is responsible for the creation of the College’s recruitment and retention strategies including branding, communications, and marketing efforts of the College. The Vice President works closely with the President, Provost, and departmental Vice Presidents to provide leadership and organization for strategic planning and market research. The Vice President will work with the Vice President for Finance to determine pricing strategies and the effective utilization of institutional financial aid to maximize net student revenue. Additionally, the Vice President, as the chief enrollment officer, supervises the Dean of Admissions and is expected to fully support and provide guidance to the admissions staff throughout the recruitment cycle while closely monitoring all data and appropriately updating the senior leadership. Working with Institutional Research, The Vice President will design and interpret the appropriate metrics to support the research and development of potential new markets and evaluate and benchmark current marketing efforts. The Vice President will supervise 15 staff members comprising the staffs of both the admissions and marketing offices.
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), and a minimum of ten years of progressive experience in marketing, planning, and enrollment management are required with financial aid experience preferred. The Vice President must be a highly efficient, effective, results and challenge driven individual with strong business acumen and broad knowledge encompassing the critical areas the College. The position requires experience in management, strategic planning, admissions, customer relations, public relations, retention, and the development of markets. The successful candidate will have strong quantitative skills; be a visionary and a strategic thinker capable of critically analyzing issues to inform decision making; and be a quick learner. The Vice President must be articulate, an effective presenter and negotiator that can build synergy and rapport among departments of the College. The successful candidate must understand and believe in the value of a liberal arts education and the mission of Presbyterian College.
