English Immersion Summer Program (EISP) – APPLY HERE!

Languages thrive in a culture, not simply in a classroom. PC’s four-week English Immersion Summer Program offers students a unique opportunity to acclimate to conversational English as well as to daily life in an American university setting before beginning the semester or year-long university program. Participants can learn and practice effective communication skills in an intimate, student-focused environment, all while exploring a unique and historical area of the country and building meaningful relationships with PC faculty and American students.

General EISP Course

This exciting program, running from July 6 – August 8, 2013,  is open to all current undergraduate students looking to prepare for a semester or year abroad in the United States.

Course features:

• 80 total hours of classroom instruction, in addition to scheduled conversation sessions and lectures

• Weekly lectures and local excursions introducing students to the history and culture of the American South

• University housing alongside American students on PC’s 240-acre campus

• Excursions to Greenville and Charleston in South Carolina, to Asheville in the mountains of North Carolina, and to the national capital in Washington, D.C.

Chinese EISP Course

This program is designed specifically to accommodate the schedules of Chinese applicants. The course includes all features of the General EISP Course and is offered from July 16 – August 10, 2013.

English Immersion Winter Program

This program allows you to start the New Year by spending four weeks at Presbyterian College for intensive English study and immersion into the culture of American college life.

Just like our summer programs, this course features:

• 80 total hours of classroom instruction, in addition to scheduled conversation sessions and lectures

• Weekly lectures and local excursions introducing students to the history and culture of the American South
