My computer is infected! What do I do?
If you have your own anti-virus program installed, you can use that tool to remove the infection. Or you can file a help request (using the link at the top of the page or on the right) to have a Resnet technician help you.

My computer is running really slow. What can I do to speed it up?
First, you can check to see if it is infected, as many viruses and malware programs will significantly slow your computer down. If you file a help request, we can explore this possibility as well as other potential causes of computer slowdown.

Where can I get help for my email account?

Please check the BannerWeb FAQ page.

How can I protect my laptop from theft?
Never leave your computer unattended when in public, and if you leave it in your room, make sure to lock your door.  You can also take it to Campus Security to have it registered.

Should I get a Windows computer (HP, Dell, etc) or a Mac computer?
Both have pros and cons, for Windows, the advantage is that software compatibility is almost guaranteed, while Mac and Linux users may be required to find alternative solutions.  But Windows is also much more vulnerable to attack in comparison to Mac and Linux computers.
