Public Folder - Socrates

The Public Folder is provided as a location for temporary storage of files which need to be accessed from various locations on campus.  Its contents are, as the name implies, open to the public.  Anyone with access to the network can see the contents of any files you place in this location, and even change or delete them. You should NOT, therefore, consider it as a place to store information you wish to remain private or confidential.Materials in the Public Folder are purged several times a semester, so you should keep copies of any files placed here in another location.
