Willard L. Jones graduated from Presbyterian college in 1928, and began work immediately as the college's head librarian and alumni secretary.  He remained at the college until 1941, when he entered military service.  He remained in the army until his retirement in 1958, and attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.  Following his retirement, he served as a reference librarian at the Federal Trade Commission.  He died in 1981.
