Dr. Ron Davis is Associate Professor of Music at Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina.  Since 2004 he has been the director of studies in sacred music, music theory and organ at the college.  He is also the director of PC Ringers, a handbell ensemble which is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the premiere collegiate performing groups in the southeastern US.  In addition, he directs Cantare!, the school’s choral ensemble for men.  He is also serving as organist for First Baptist Church of Greenwood, South Carolina. Dr. Davis is  actively involved with the American Guild of Organists and the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers.  As an organist, Dr. Davis’ performing schedule takes him to Oklahoma, Kansas, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia in the spring of 2008.  This season he has also been the handbell clinician for the advanced ringing conference at Lutheridge, North Carolina. Dr. Davis received his undergraduate training in organ and church music at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, AR.  After a year of graduate work at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas, he completed a masters and doctoral degree from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS in organ performance.  He continued his studies with post-doctoral work at Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth.  Dr. Davis served on the faculty of Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee, OK from 1987-2004.  While in Oklahoma he served as organist at University Baptist Church, Shawnee, from 1987 to 1994, and at First Baptist Church of Oklahoma City from 1994 to 2004.
