Beth Braxton will assume the role of Vice President of Advancement at Presbyterian College, effective May 20th.

President Lilly believes that Braxton’s 21-plus years of demonstrated success in all areas of fundraising will prove to be a tremendous asset to PC.

“We are very pleased that Beth has accepted the position of Vice President of Advancement here at PC,” Lilly said. “Beth brings with her a strong track record in the area of institutional advancement, and I am confident that her experience and achievements make her the right person to lead our advancement office.”

A graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Braxton delivered more than $20 million in cash and commitments during her two years at High Point. She also built and managed a portfolio of 120 major gift prospects with more than $1 million capacity.

Braxton has served as both Vice President for Institutional Advancement at High Point and in a number of institutional advancement roles at UNC-Chapel Hill. She enjoyed a successful tenure at her alma mater and acquired extensive experience during Carolina First, a comprehensive campaign which raised $2.37 billion, the most successful campaign by a southeastern university at the time.

As the Director of Annual Giving at UNC-Chapel Hill from 2003-2011, Braxton increased annual giving revenue by more than 67% and surpassed revenue, participation, acquisition, and retention goals in eight consecutive fiscal years. She also maintained a portfolio of 150 prospects, closed gifts from $10,000 to $500,000, and increased senior class participation from 9% in 2006 to 45% in 2011.

Braxton has two sons and plans to relocate from Hillsborough, NC.
