Baseball signee named Gatorade Player of the Year

Presbyterian College baseball signee Ryan Morris has recently been named the Rhode Island Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year award winner.
Morris, who signed with the Blue Hose in the fall, produced a .443 batting average while driving in 34 RBI and scoring 30 runs, helping guide his North Kingstown H.S. team into the state playoffs.
The 6-2, 210 lb. student-athlete smashed seven round-trippers on the season. He also notched an .885 slugging percentage and a .580 on-base percentage.
A standout in the classroom as well, he maintained a 3.56 GPA while participating in numerous volunteer activities around the community.
Morris, along with all the other signees for next season will enroll at PC beginning this fall.
