Alumni Spotlight: Margaret Scott Rollison

"Not only did I receive a college degree from PC, but during my four years on campus, I learned many life lessons that have enabled me to make better decisions and to develop meaningful business and personal relationships."

- Margaret Rollison

Margaret Scott Rollison began her real estate career with Coldwell Banker Caine five years ago. She was born and raised in West Point, Georgia, and graduated from PC in 1982 with a BS in Elementary Education. She attributes her brother, Bill Scott, '69 with influencing her to attend PC. She and her husband, Fred, have two daughters, Elizabeth, 14 and Mary Zachry, 20.

After 3 months in a new position with PC, Hannah Smith decided to contact a real estate agent.

"Alan Smith referred me to Margaret because when she helps a PC related client find a home, she gives a percentage of her sales and referral commissions to PC," Hannah says.

Margaret believes that "by giving back to PC in this way, I am able to not only help those connected with PC to buy and sell property, but I am developing friendships that will last a lifetime."

Margaret walked Hannah through each step of the process — from the proper questions to ask to finding a lender and closing the deal. She helped Hannah find the perfect townhouse and feel at ease with taking this "Big First Step".

"Margaret did not give me special treatment because I am an alumna, but I knew I was in good hands because we share the PC spirit," Hannah said.  "She has since donated a portion of her commission back to the Scotsman Club as promised, and I feel fully prepared to enter the world of homeownership and mortgage payments!"
