Arthur State Bank Tailgate Challenge

The first annual Scotsman Club Tailgate Challenge took place on November 11, 2006, for the last Bronze Derby. This year it was sponsored by Arthur State. We asked students, alumni, parents, and the rest of the PC family to pack their picnic baskets, fire up their grill, and put on their best “BLUE HOSE” gear. PC tailgaters competed in any or all of the following competitions: Master Tailgater, Best Blue Hose Spirit, Best Pork Baby Back Ribs, and Highest Participation.

Special Thanks to our judges for overseeing this year’s competition: Dr. John and Mrs. Griffith, Irby Hipp, Chef Kevin Candrilli, and Bob and Dottie Smith.

This year’s winners included the “Blue Hose Bash” made up of PC faculty and staff members for Best Blue Hose Spirit, Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity for Highest Participation, "Living the Legacy" comprised of all the members of the Manley family who won for Best Ribs, and lastly Jeff Davenport’s group for Master Tailgater.
