Parents' Support of the PC Fund

PC Parents are as much an integral part of the college as its students. PC parents provide outreach from current parents to parents of incoming students. This extension of the PC Family also provides several volunteer opportunities for parents who wish to become actively involved at all different levels. These activities work with the PC Alumni Association on welcome and special events; they are also a valuable extension of the Admissions office for recruiting students to come to PC.

More importantly, PC Parents help raise annual gifts for The PC Fund. The PC Fund supports the life of the college in the form of scholarships, new teaching and learning opportunities, and student life.

PC Parents
Quick Facts

What is the Parents Support for PC fund?

Annual support to the Parents Fund for PC is one component of the PC fund, established to provide the College with critical unrestricted operating revenues.

How is the Parents Support for the PC Fund used?

Many parents are surprised to learn that unrestricted resources are one of PC’s most precious assets. Gifts to the annual Parents Fund for PC allow the college the flexibility to distribute funds wherever necessary to recruit distinguished faculty, improve student life on and around campus, and insure that PC remains a viable, affordable option for all students. The college and the Board of Trustees use their discretion in allocating the money to programs with the greatest need or the greatest potential to enhance student life at PC.

Why does PC ask parents to give, when you are already paying student tuition, fees, and living expenses?

We ask parents because we know that you are proud that your sons and daughters attend one of the nation's most well-respected institutions. You know first hand the quality of a PC education. Presbyterian College students enjoy rare opportunities at PC, and parents share responsibility for sustaining those advantages.

How much should I give?

We ask that you consider making the Parents Fund for PC one of your priorities for charitable giving this year. Whether your gift to the PC Fund is $25, $250, or $25,000, we ask that you do give. Your participation is vital to sustain our thriving community and to maintain the tradition of unsurpassed excellence in higher education that PC has always represented.

How can I make a gift?

You will receive an appeal in the mail and a telephone call from a student asking you to support the Parents Fund for PC. Or you can make your gift online. Please call the PC Fund office at (864) 833-8204 if you'd like to discuss other ways to give, if you'd like additional information regarding the Parents Fund, or if you'd like to serve on a committee of parent fundraising volunteers.

We thank you for your generosity!
