A Closer Look: Physics at PC
According to Wikipedia, physics is one of the oldest academic subjects of all. When you add in astronomy, it may be the oldest. Physics is the science of matter and its motion; of space and time. You'll be caught up in the study of this oldest of sciences with students and faculty who share your interests and challenge your mind.
Your classes will be small and you'll have access to your faculty both in and out of the classroom. You'll work with both faculty and your fellow students on research projects such as student robotics, a project funded by Microsoft.
Many students, after an academic year full of study, spend their summers in internships and summer research programs at nationally recognized universities and laboratories. Such a summer experience will lead to further studies in a topic that interests you and helps foster valuable new contacts with students and professors at the host institution. Summer programs can help you make decisions about graduate school and careers after graduation from PC.
