FTX’s
Fall FTX
Fall FTX, conducted at Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC evaluates land navigation skill proficiency, Team Building exercises, and provides an opportunity for cadets to experience execute an obstacle course and rappel off of a 35 foot rappel tower.
Spring FTX
Spring FTX, also conducted at Fort Jackson, is the final proving ground for cadets bound for Leadership Development and Assessment Course (LDAC) at Fort Lewis, Washington. Squad STX lanes are conducted and evaluated identical to what the cadet will experience at LDAC. Basic Course Cadets (Freshmen and
Sophomores) complete a confidence course, an obstacle course, and Land Navigation training. Once again, land navigation skills are tested both day and night. The Spring FTX is a joint training exercise between several ROTC programs in the state. Last year we operated with Wofford, Clemson, South
Carolina, and Furman to conduct the Spring FTX.
