Many of us are fascinated by the complex history and culture of the U.S. South – though much of what we know may be limited to our immediate surroundings or to the often superficial images of the South in mass media. Completing a minor, or concentration of courses, in southern studies at PC leads to a deeper understanding of, and appreciation for, the diverse peoples and cultures within the southeastern United States.
