Making PC a greener campus
According to the American Heritage Dictionary, to sustain something means to keep it in existence, to maintain it. “Sustainability,” as it is often used today, refers to keeping in existence the water, materials, and resources that our environment now has.
Students for Environmental Education has been fighting the sustainability fight on the PC campus for more than 20 years. A group of SEE students each year has volunteered its time to run hands-on efforts such as recycling collection and to make the campus aware of issues affecting the planet.
The Green Hose initiative was launched recently to encourage more support to make PC a greener campus and to create more sustainability programs on campus.
