St. Jude Up ’til Dawn is a student-run organization who brings national awareness and fundraising efforts for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to college campuses across the country. An executive board organizes the program, plans fundraising activities and executes an overnight celebratory event at the culmination of the fundraising campaign.
Participants come together to sacrifice a night of sleep to stay up for good in honor of the patients and families who undergo many sleepless nights. The event is set up as a night of team challenges. Teams are given clues throughout the night that they must complete. Teams compete to be named the winning team.
Students form teams of six to participate in the all-night challenge. At registration, students commit to a substance-free night and to stay up for good. Students must raise $100 via online fundraising, side events and sending fundraising letters to earn entry to the all-night challenge. A culmination of greek life, religious organizations, athletes, and other SVS organizations contribute to Presbyterian College’s monetary donation of more that $70,000 since its founding at PC.
Students can register online for the St. Jude Up ’til Dawn Presbyterian College Event, which will be held on Thursday, March 14th, 2013, at http://fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR/UTD/UTD?pg=entry&fr_id=9171.
