A Closer Look

You willl prepare for graduate school and entry level work in the theatre by focusing on your talents and interests. You may tailor your theatre experience to emphasize theatre history, acting, directing, design, communications, dance, or arts administration, choosing courses from the department's offerings and creating advanced courses in your particular  areas of interest.

You will be more than a face to your professors. You and your faculty advisor will work together to form the backbone of an individual program of study designed to develop your specific talents to the fullest.

The PC faculty is committed to producing artists of the future, artists who know what they believe and create work that communicates the depth of that insight to their audience. They'll work to make you one of those.

Theatre and dance are art forms that seek to comment on the society that frames it. As a theatre major with a liberal arts education, you'll have more than just skills training. Your artistic insights will be developed as much in your general education courses as in your major course of study. When you leave PC, you'll be ready to dance or act your way across the world
