PC Choir and Ringers Spring Tour
The melodious harmonies and crisp yet subtle chimes of classical handbells resounded through sanctuaries in the Carolinas as the accomplished PC Choir and Ringers visited local churches from Feb. 27 to Mar. 2. Lead by Dr. J. Porter Strokes and Dr. Ron Davis, these young men and women shared their gifts and talents with the public at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church in Kingstree, S.C., James Island Presbyterian Church in Charleston, S.C., Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church in Mount Pleasant, S.C. and Forest Lakes Presbyterian Church in Columbia, S.C.
The students at Presbyterian College are always held to the highest standards and this group was no exception. They worked tirelessly to perfect their vast repertoire of arrangements that vary from classical and romantic anthems, to more modernized yet familiar Christian hymns.
The PC Choir started in 1947 and has performed in venues around the world including Washington D.C. and the United Kingdom. These accomplished young musicians traveled locally in order to show off the product of many hours of work with our distinguished choral directors.
