Presbyterian College to host patriotic evening celebrating service men and women

On Friday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m., in Edmunds Hall, the department of music at Presbyterian College and all the PC choirs will participate in the presentation of a patriotic evening celebrating the U.S. Service men and women. The performance will consist of music that honors the nation, that remembers the sacrifice of our service men and women, and that celebrates our common musical heritage will be on display.

Tickets are on sale for $10, and all proceeds will go to support the choirs at PC and their 2017 trip to Europe. Tickets are available online, in the music offices at the front of Belk Auditorium, by calling 864.833.8470, or at the door.

October 28-29 is also the weekend of PC’s annual Homecoming celebration. The concert is part of an entire weekend of special and memorable events on PC Campus.

To add to the anticipation of this spectacular event, PC alumna and Clinton native Taylor Randall Marlatt will be a featured soloist. Marlatt is now an active performer in the Greenville musical scene and works as Development Director at Centre Stage, also in Greenville.

Performances will include “Yankee Doodle Dandy,” “The Grand Old Flag,” “Amber Waves of Grain,” “Glory, Glory, Hallelujah,” “Blades of Grass and Pure White Stone,” “The Halls of Montezuma,” “Anchors Aweigh,” and “Fight for (our right) and to build the nations might.”
