Presbyterian College named Harold Nichols director of major gifts as a part of the College’s office of institutional advancement. In this capacity, Nichols will focus on the development of major gifts for significant initiatives across the College, including athletics.

“We are excited to have Harold as a part of our advancement team,” Bob Staton, president of Presbyterian College said. “He is passionate about PC and is known and respected by our alumni and supporters.”

Key campaigns currently include Neville Renewed, the renovation and expansion of the iconic academic building; the Victory Fund to support our student-athletes and coaches; and foundational funding for our recently announced physician assistant program.

“I’m excited about this opportunity to be able to continue to work for a place I love,” Nichols said. “I hope to move the College forward while remaining a part of this community.”

“Harold brings a unique set of experiences to the role, and PC will benefit from his established relationships with alumni, students, parents, the Clinton community, and other friends of the College,” said David Parker, a member of the College’s board of trustees. “He is passionate about the mission of Presbyterian College and is well-practiced in sharing our story. These attributes will translate successfully into this role, with its focus on stewardship and fundraising.”

Nichols began his role on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

“The spirit of the College is in me,” Nichols added. “I believe in the mission and in the College’s story.”
