Presbyterian College to name Betty Strock recipient of the 2017 Honorary Alumna Award

Betty Strock and her husband, Bob, have been long-time supporters of Presbyterian College with their resources and their presence. It’s not a rare thing to see Betty cheering at almost all football and basketball games. Because of her love of PC athletics, Betty, along with her husband, are long-time leadership-level donors to the Scotsman Club and have established an athletic scholarship in Bob’s name that is awarded to a football player each year.

In 2017, Betty and Bob were inducted in the William Plumer Jacobs Society, a society of individuals who have given $100,000 or more in lifetime gifts to the College. Betty is well-respected in the Clinton community as retired teacher and principal. She has also been involved with the Guardian ad Litem program for Laurens County.

Almost daily, one can find Betty in the fitness center in Springs working out alongside Bob. Even though an Erskine graduate, Betty Strock is claimed by PC as one of ours–for she is as loyal to PC as any of our most loyal alumni.
