Presbyterian College to name George C. “Sandy” Hagood ’65 recipient of the 2017 Mike Turner Scotsman Club Service Award

Presbyterian College will name George C. “Sandy” Hagood the recipient of its Mike Turner Scotsman Club Service award.  The award recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of alumni who have displayed sustained efforts and devoted leadership as a Scotsman Club Member and Scholarship Patron.

Hagood is a member of the PC graduating class of 1965.  As a student, he was very active on campus, as a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and playing on the College’s football team.  Since his graduation, he has sustained his commitment to the College by being an active member of the Scotsman Club, serving as the first chair of the Scotsman Club board.  He has also served on the Presbyterian College Board of Visitors.

An annual donor since his graduation in 1965, Hagood has consistently supported the Scotsman Club, athletic fundraising efforts, the PC Fund, and the Olmert Scholarship.  He has been a leader among his alumni peers, encouraging them to give back to their alma mater and attend athletic events as much as possible.  With his presence and resources, Hagood has been a consummate Scotsman Club supporter.
