Final piece found for a memorial honoring PC Alumna, Kimberly Hampton

A space beside a Pickens County library will soon be home to a Bell OH-58D Keowa helicopter, a model identical to one flown by an Easley woman who was the first American female pilot to die in combat.

The hunt for that particular model of helicopter has taken nearly five years for Upstate resident Jim Garrison, local supporters and a number of politicians and military officers.
