Susan Raynal named honorary alumna
Most likely from the day Susan married Holbrook Raynal ’70, she became a Blue Hose. She certainly married into a family full of Blue Hose, as Holbrook’s grandfather, mother, numerous uncles and aunts and cousins were PC alumni. And Andrew Raynal, Susan’s and Holbrook’s son, is also a 2003 PC alumnus.
Susan has been a faithful Blue Hose fan, attending numerous athletic contests to cheer on Blue Hose student-athletes from virtually every team. Her genuine support of other PC activities and performances and events has been steadfast for many, many years. Her wardrobe includes many items of royal blue—as any good PC supporter would have.
In her professional role as a realtor, Susan has most likely assisted many PC employees in finding a home in the Clinton community, as well as all over Laurens County. The special thing about her engagement with prospective and new employees is that is sincere. She loves this College and this community. She goes far above the normal duties of just showing houses to being the ultimate tour guide for all of Laurens County. Her impact with how she engages with our PC family has certainly helped the College with recruiting outstanding employees.
Susan and Holbrook have also been faithful donors to PC. They’re consistent annual fund supporters, participated in the Neville Renewed Campaign, and established the Holbrook W. ’70 and Susan L. Raynal Endowed Scholarship last year. The scholarship will assist first generation students who have financial need. Through their generosity, generations of future Blue Hose will have access to earn a PC degree. The Alumni Association is proud to recognize Susan L. Raynal as an Honorary Alumna.
