Images from Science 3: An Exhibition of Scientific Images exhibition visits Elizabeth Stone Harper Gallery

The Elizabeth Stone Harper Gallery, located in the Harper Center for the Arts, is pleased to announce the following exhibition, Images from Science 3: An Exhibition of Scientific Images. This exhibition will run from January 20 to March 5.

Images from Science 3: An Exhibition of Scientific Images is the third group traveling exhibition organized by the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology, and Johns Hopkins University and School of Medicine.

Images from Science 3: An Exhibition of Scientific Images presents selected images of 71 image-makers whose work was selected by an international panel of judges. The exhibition showcases full color scientific images ranging from the intricate beauty of a frozen snow crystal to the interaction of T-cells fighting cancer. The images show examples of wide-ranging techniques in science photography, videography, and illustration that reveal science in unique new ways. Each panel has an image accompanied by a brief description of the technical equipment and process used to capture it.

Bringing the Arts and Sciences together, this curious and intriguing exhibition is both educational and visually stimulating!

The Harper Center Gallery is host to four exhibitions annually—two exhibitions of work from nationally/internationally recognized artists, the Senior Art Major Exhibition, and the Annual Student Exhibition. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 12:00–5:00 pm; admission to the gallery is free.
