About Ms. Belden

Shana Belden enters her second year as the head coach of the PC Cheerleading team in 2019-20. She came to Clinton after being an assistant coach at Shorter University in Georgia.

In 2018-19, the program’s inaugural competitive season, Belden led the PC squad to an eighth-place finish in the Intermediate All-Girl Division I competition at the NCA and NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championships in Daytona Beach, Fla.

“We are so excited to be in the competitive cheer world,” said Belden. “We cannot wait to come back even stronger next year!”

Belden was a four-year cheerleader as a student, winning three national championships. The first two came at Shorter and she won her third title after transferring to the University of West Georgia. After earning her bachelor’s degree in business management, Belden returned to Shorter as a coach. While coaching there, she earned her master’s in business management.
