About Dr. Liu

Dr. Liu is passionate about teaching global politics and offers a diverse range of courses on global issues, Asian politics, and international relations. He also mentors the Model UN Club on campus, providing PC students the opportunity to participate in intercollegiate Model UN conferences. His dedication stems from a strong belief in global cooperation and cultural exchange, as well as his role in strengthening PC’s relationship with Guizhou University in China. For over a decade, Dr. Liu has led several Maymesters to China and sponsored various faculty and student cultural exchanges.

Currently, Dr. Liu’s research focuses on the evolving dynamics of international hierarchy and the influence of racial construction in international relations. He recently presented his work on “The Role of Race in International Relations” at the International Studies Association annual convention in San Francisco.
