Diversity at PC
Presbyterian College is Global.
The PC community is a global community that strives to value every aspect of diversity. Understanding and empathizing with people who are unlike ourselves, whether it be in ethnicity, race, gender, or sexual orientation, enhances the liberal arts experience of PC students, especially as they learn to live, socialize, and work cooperatively in an increasingly changing and diverse society.
PC offers a variety of academic and intercultural programs, which expands our community’s global experience, perspective, and ability to connect across difference with respect and civility.
Some of these programs include an Africana Studies minor, a Civil Rights Seminar, Latin American Studies minor, Southern Studies minor, and Women’s and Gender Studies minor, as well as global seminars sponsored by different groups and programs on campus like the Confucius Institute, International Programs, and the Multicultural Student Union. There is also a growing team of PC faculty, staff, and students actively engaged in the National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) which is an international leadership organization centered around diversity, equity, and inclusion.
