Assistant Acrobatics & Tumbling Coach

Job Description Summary:

The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all phases of the women’s acrobatics & tumbling program.

Duties and Tasks:

Recruitment of prospective student-athletes to reach and maintain a roster size of 35, assist with practices and practice plans, assisting with study halls and academic monitoring, meet preparation and strategy, organizing camps and clinics, adherence to NCAA rules and regulations, general administrative tasks and other duties related to the sport of acrobatics & tumbling as assigned by the head coach.

Required Knowledge Skills, Abilities, Experience and Education and experience:

  • The applicant must be able to communicate well and perform well in an interview and/or coaching demonstration.
  • Three years of successful coaching experience or elite level playing experience is required

Preferred education and experience (if applicable):

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • One year coaching experience required; collegiate coaching experience preferred, and/or collegiate playing experience.
  • Ability to recruit within NCAA DI and Big South Rules.
  • Strong organizational; interpersonal; communication, and computer skills needed. Basic knowledge of SV File
  • Commitment to cultivating diversity for Intercollegiate Athletics

The selected candidate must successfully clear a background investigation. Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the NCAA, Big South, or any athletics conference in which Presbyterian College is a member or may join, and other established bodies that govern or oversee intercollegiate athletics. In the event Employee becomes aware, or has reasonable cause to believe, that violations of these organizations’ constitutions, bylaws, rules or regulations may have taken place, Employee shall promptly report the same to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at the institution. Employee shall cooperate fully and completely with any investigation of any alleged violation, whether such investigation is conducted by the University, NCAA or any other duly authorized agency or individual.
