Title: Coordinator of College & Advancement Events

Reports to: Director of Alumni Relations
Level: Non-Exempt

Develop, implement, and administer a strategic events program that contributes to Presbyterian
College’s reputation for excellence through the development, management, and marketing of
events sponsored by the President and the Office of Advancement. Continually work with
academic and administrative units in order to assist them in achieving their individual event’s



  • Work with the Annual Giving Team, and Director of Alumni Relations to create strategic
    college events programming that will assist in engaging PC alumni, students, parents,
    faculty, staff, and friends to increase the college’s visibility to all external audiences
  • Manage all tasks associated with successful event planning, invitation production,
    catering, event design, event logistics and programming, budget management, timeline
    management, etc.
  • Lead weekly campus events meetings to brief the campus events committee on all
    upcoming campus happenings to ensure smooth delivery of each event and its objective
  • Create and report budget and expenses for each event planned and executed
  • Assist with comprehensive planning for major campus-wide events, including but not
    limited to,

    • Advancement
    • College Events
    • Presidential Events
    • Stewardship Events
  • Manage logistics for pre-game and half-time activities for the President during football
    season including invitations, catering, event design, and ticket distribution to donors,
    community leaders, and other invited guests
  • Build strong relationships across campus to advise various departments and personnel
    on event planning logistics
  • Assist in other meetings/presentations, as needed
  • Manage the Harper Center events calendar


  • Regularly meet with First Lady to ensure Presidential event outreach and objectives are
    being met

    • Create Protocol of Events in President’s Residence
    • Use President’s Residence for necessary events
  • Maintain the relationship between Laurens County Chamber of Commerce for
    communication of upcoming community or on-campus events
  • Advise on the LCCC for campus involvement events including:
    • LCCC Annual Oyster Roast
    • LCCC Annual Chamber Member Reception/Dinner
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities
  • Other Duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in Event Planning
  • Preferred Experience in Fund Raising Activities
