Job Description Summary:

Director of Men’s Basketball Operations for the Men’s Basketball program under the general supervision of the Head Coach. This is a non-coaching position that will coordinate with the operational aspects of the Men’s Basketball program by assisting the video operations; overseeing the budget; coordinating scheduling; managing apparel and equipment; camp coordinating; scheduling non-conference and tournament games, act as a liaison to the conference and other departments within Holy Cross Athletics. The Director of Operations will complete team-related stats; plan, coordinate, and execute year-long travel plans; handle the arrangement of team practice scheduling; coordinate team community service actives; and organize all aspects of the recruitment visits. This person will also provide equipment support during away competitions.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for travel budget and ensuring travel expenses remain within budget. Produces all travel itineraries for away games.
  2. Scheduling and confirming travel practice requests
  3. Coordinates meals for games
  4. Oversee practice and game film production
  5. Assist with breakdown and statistical analysts
  6. Design recruiting mailings, keep the database current and help plan and coordinate recruiting visits
  7. Assist with fundraising, including working with coaches and athletic development representatives in planning, preparing, and coordinating events
  8. Assist with team community service events, including event scheduling, publicity, and coordinating with team community service activities
  9. Designate assignments/game duties for practice and away games
  10. Coordinate team film exchange for both away and home games
  11. Manage schedule for team managers ensuring appropriate coverage
  12. Assist with logistical aspects within the function of the program
  13. Point of contact for visiting teams
  14. Manages and plans team events and functions
