Presbyterian College Outstanding Church Youth Leadership Award

Presbyterian College Outstanding Church Youth Leadership Award

On January 11th, Presbyterian College will honor the 8 recipients of the 2014 Presbyterian College Outstanding Church Youth Leadership Award.  This award allows each congregation within the Presbyterian Church (USA) to nominate one of their High School Seniors as an outstanding leader within their church.  This year’s recipients are Kaitlyn Elizabeth Philips, Hollie Kathleen Roy, Janna Adelle McIntyre, James Templeton Addison IV and Joseph Vincent Williams.  Each of these OCYLA recipients who enrolls at Presbyterian College will receive an annual scholarship of $500.

The Ramsey award goes to OCYLA winners who have demonstrated a commitment to putting their faith into action through service.  They will receive an additional $500 annually. Joseph Philip Jumper and Zoe Elizabeth Nicholson have been given the Ramsey award for 2014.

The Hobbie award goes to the OCYLA winner who has demonstrated Christian leadership that is thoughtful and significant.  The winner will receive an additional $1000 annually in scholarship aid. Thomas Mason Warren is this year’s OCYLA Hobbie award recipient.

Each of these Outstanding Church Youth Leaders offers significant passion and service to others in and through their church and communities – as such they are already expressing the motto of PC “while we live we serve!”
