Senior Education Students Present Capstone Research

Four early childhood majors and one middle level education major presented their capstone research projects over the span of two days. On the first day, Andrea Pelham presented the service learning project she conducted with United Ministries of Clinton, thanks to a grant from the PC Launch Program for Vocation, Leadership, and Service. Jessie Laverty used her practicum placement to integrate a variety of literacy activities designed to promote positivity in the classroom, and Adam Wardlaw examined outcomes related to technology integration in instruction and assessment. On the following day, Marissa Grodzicki presented “Online Resources for Teachers, Families, and Students,” and Haley Wofford presented “Retention in Kindergarten: Teacher Perceptions and Practices.” The presentations were attended by PC students, faculty, and family members. The audience members were very impressed by the high level of student work and the professional nature of presentations.
