What activities and organizations were you involved in as an undergraduate?

Camp Kesem, Alpha Gamma Delta, Shop with a Bulldawg, Volunteers Around the World, The Wesley Foundation, Phi Delta Epsilon, Alpha Epsilon Delta

What did you do after you graduated?

After I graduated in 2020, I sat in sadness as the pandemic sent my senior year to online classes and canceled my graduation ceremony. After that, I decided to go get my MBA at the University of South Carolina. I was in that program for about 10 months until my graduation in May 2021. After that, I worked as a Scribe for a Family Medicine Practice for about 6 months before taking a job as an office manager for a weight loss clinic in Lexington, SC.

If you’ve done any volunteer work, please list what you’ve done and where.

I did a ton of mission trips in high school to New Orleans after Katrina and to the Bahamas. Once I got into college, I got involved with the Wesley Foundation and was able to go volunteer in Haiti and Jamaica with them. I also got involved with Camp Kesem, a nonprofit summer camp for kids affected by a parent’s cancer. I also spent about 2 weeks in Peru working a medical service trip with Volunteers Around the World.

How or why did you become involved in this volunteer work?

I mostly got involved with these organizations because my friends convinced me to. I got involved with Camp Kesem because my freshman roommate wanted to go to a meeting but didn’t want to go alone. I ended up working the camp all four summers, serving on leadership for 3 years and working on the executive board as the volunteer coordinator. It was the best thing I ever did.

What are some of your hobbies or interests?

I love to read, hang out with my dog, play a very small selection of video games, and watch tv at home under a comfy blanket!

Also love to watch the Georgia Bulldogs!! #SicEm

Please include any family information if you’d like.

I grew up in a house with my mom, dad, and one older sister. My dad’s an orthopedic surgeon and mom was a physical therapist so I guess I had no other choice than to go into medicine!

Please let us know about anything weird, quirky, or unusual that you’d like to share.

My life’s wish is to one day go to Disney World and be able to find my name on a keychain… a girl can wish i guess.

Why do you want to be a PA?

I want to be a PA because I want to help those who don’t have the opportunities that I had growing up. A lot of times, we take for granted how easily it is to get healthcare and aid when we need it. I want to work to make sure that the neglected and overlooked are cared for and made to know that they matter too.

Why did you choose Presbyterian College PA Program?

I chose Presbyterian because it was close to the people I cared most about. I also loved my interview with Presbyterian. The professors seemed so genuine and cared about getting to know me as a person, not just an application.
