What activities and organizations were you involved in as an undergraduate?
Almost all intramural sports, investment club, chemistry club, biophilic club, and an independent research study.
What did you do after you graduated?
I got married and traveled for a few months before moving to South Carolina.
If you’ve done any volunteer work, please list what you’ve done and where.
I volunteered on a medical mission trip to Haiti, where I was able to observe and assist in surgeries for people who did not have the financial situation to allow them to go to hospitals around their area.
How or why did you become involved in this volunteer work?
It was a great way to get introduced to the medical profession, and it will be a driving factor for me to do the best I can throughout PA school so I can go back and help with better training and knowledge.
What are some of your hobbies or interests?
I am an avid golfer and skier. I have started to fly fish this summer and have enjoyed that. Video games and playing board games with friends.
Why do you want to be a PA?
I am passionate about patient care and wellness, and I want to gain the skills and knowledge to be able to better the health of people in areas that good healthcare is hard to come by.
Why did you choose the Presbyterian College PA Program?
I felt that PC aligned with my values and goals moving forward into my medical career. After my interview, I loved all of the staff I met and felt very comforted by the program’s state and future direction despite being a newer PA school.
