What activities and organizations were you involved in as an undergraduate?

I rode Equestrian at College of Charleston during my junior year, prior to COVID. I was the Assistant Director for the College of Charleston EMS squad. I also found time to be a member of Zeta Tau Alpha.

What did you do after you graduated?

Graduation was a whirlwind and I went straight into PA school in October 2021. In the time between graduation and Presbyterian’s orientation, I continued working as an EMT and server at a rooftop restaurant in Charleston.

If you’ve done any volunteer work, please list what you’ve done and where.

I worked at MUSC children’s hospital in the childlife atrium. We played with children who were staying in the hospital long term and gave them a space to be kids, away from the stress of their treatments, where they could play and be creative.

What are some of your hobbies or interests?

I do lots of yoga to destress. If I can find time, I love baking too!

Why do you want to be a PA?

I found out about the profession through my work as an EMT. When bringing patients to the ER, I was often met by the PA working, and realized I could see myself assuming that role. No one in my family is involved in medicine in any way, so this journey has been exciting for all of us as I can share with them what I’m learning.

Why did you choose Presbyterian College PA Program?

I found out about PC from a peer at College of Charleston. I was drawn to the idea of a small program that is very student oriented.
