Dawn Sodders | Physicians Assistant Doctoral Program | Presbyterian College | Clinton SCDawn Sodders

PA Student
Class of 2021

Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dawn graduated in 2019 from the University of Cincinnati, where she earned cum laude honors with a biology degree. She participated in undergraduate research while at UC.

After graduation, she worked as an X-Ray tech at an orthopedic office in Cincinnati.

Dawn volunteered with Empower Youth to help children grow into leaders. She also helped to coach youth cheerleading.

Dawn chose to become a PA because of the compassion she has seen in the profession.

“Every PA I have had the pleasure of seeing in action was kind, caring and devoted to patient care,” she says.

“Unlike their physician counterparts, physician assistants do not have the time constraints and pressures that make them rush through office visits and patient encounters. They are able to spend time with their patients, educate them and build a relationship.

“To me, that is what healthcare is. I can’t wait to be a part of that!”

She chose PC because of the community.

“PC makes me feel at home,” Dawn said. “I love the small town atmosphere. The PA staff is knowledgeable and caring. I am proud to be a Blue Hose!”

Dawn enjoys working in her garden and cooking, as well as spending time with her daughters.
